Meet the team: Party Hat!

January 19, 2018 in Appaman News, Featured

We were lucky enough to catch up with Appaman’s Chief Executive Woof, Party Hat, between meetings and conference calls today. We chatted over beef jerky in his brand new office bed (“A Christmas gift from the other staff,” he tells me through mouthfuls of beef).

So, Party Hat – you’ve been with the Company from the beginning. What has it been like seeing Appaman grow?

At the start it was just me and my mum and dad which was cool, but now there are loads more staff which is good for me, because it’s loads more people to give me pats and treats. My FAVORITE part of the day is coming into the office with Mum and Dad and saying hi to everyone. I do a lap of the room and greet everyone, then I usually chase a ball around then sleep. It’s pretty chill.

How would you describe your role in the company?

As the Chief Executive Woof my main role is office morale. I literally can’t use a computer or read or write so I can’t help with the day-to-day running of the company, but I trot around and sleep on people’s feet and generally create a sense of peace and joy wherever I go. One of my favorite people in the office, Katie, has taught me to do tricks. I can do sit, stay, lay down, roll over, play dead (Katie says “Party’s over” for this), and shake paws. I can pick which hand has a treat in it, walk in a circle, OH and I can also boop (“it’s targeting, its way more advanced than a boop,” interjects Katie,  “he can follow my hand with his nose.”).

I am also Office Protector – the UPS guy comes every day and I make sure he knows who’s boss (it’s me; I’m the boss).

You have such a busy schedule! What do you do in your downtime?

I pretty much sleep and play ball. I hang out with my 2 human sisters, sniff for food and bark at cats. I love chilling with my family when they are all home – they are the best. They drop food a lot so that’s good. Snacks galore.

What does 2018 have in store for you?

Sleeping, playing ball, and hopefully learning some new tricks with Katie. I hope to get a lot of treats for being a good boy. I also hate getting hair cuts so I’m hoping for a haircut-free year.
