Five Weeks of Giving 2014 – James J. Peters V.A. Medical Center

December 18, 2014 in Appaman News

For her Five Weeks of Giving donation, Stephanie has chosen to pay it forward to the James J. Peters V.A. Medical Center in Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx.

Stephanie says:

“My Papa was a proud member of the United States Army. He has used the resources at this VA Hospital countless times over the course of his adult life, most especially the last few years. He had a great fondness for his doctors at this hospital, and the care they provide to veterans.  When it came time to sell his house, he donated his elaborate book collection to the library at the hospital.  His last year or so, he unfortunately spent a bit of time as a patient here. He was so happy for the luck that came my way that brought me to Appaman and would love to hear stories about what was going on with the company and to look through the latest season’s catalogs with me! Sadly, my Papa passed away on June 8, 2013, but he would be so proud to have this donation given by Appaman to a place that means so much to him.”
